My wife and I were first time homebuyers coming to the Rochester area, and we couldn’t be more happy with our decision to work with Alex Mayer to find our first home! Alex was extremely responsive, and he made sure to meet with us over Zoom before we ever started looking at houses to go over everything we needed to know, including the different types of mortgages and vocabulary we would need to go through the process of buying our first home. Alex’s passion for his work really showed in that first meeting, as he took the time to explain everything in a way that was very easy to understand. He helped connect us with a local mortgage lender, home inspector, and home insurance provider as well, which made the whole process much more manageable. Once we arrived in Rochester to look at houses, Alex went above and beyond to make sure that home tours were scheduled promptly. For any house that we wanted to look at, Alex made it happen, and it was clear that he had strong relationships with sellers and other agents which made the entire process smooth and easy to navigate. When we toured homes with Alex, he was extremely thorough and helped us to make the best possible decision. Alex is fun, personable, and kind, and we had a lot of fun getting to know him (and his wonderful dogs) and work with him during the homebuying experience. We toured around 30 homes in 5 days with Alex, and he was very consistent with his strong work ethic and friendly approach. When we found our dream house, Alex went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to see it in a timely manner and coached us on how to make a very competitive offer. He even came out to dinner with us that night in order to finalize the deal and celebrate with us on buying our first home.
