    We were relocating to Rochester, MN from Colorado. Alex was recommended to us by my family as well as others that my sister had asked. He was thorough, prompt, easy to work with. He accommodated my brief time window for visiting properties (four days!) We actually found the house we wanted on the first day, and had an accepted offer in two days. Then we started the whirlwind of loan application, insurance, inspection, utilities acquisition, etc. Alex was helpful with all of it. He was able to recommend trustworthy people to serve as lender, inspector, any repair bids we needed, etc. His knowledge of Rochester and reliable businesses was very helpful. Before I even traveled to Rochester, Alex had onboarded us with a Zoom call that answered all of my husband's and my questions. He patiently answered any inquiries I sent his way as I searched for properties online. His insight into neighborhoods and even traffic patterns was terrific. Alex has a high expectation of himself and others regarding integrity and professionalism. I appreciated that about him. He was fun and insightful as we toured properties. I especially valued his advice about which aspects of a home might have less appeal when it comes time to sell the property down the road. All in all, Alex Mayer is a great guy to work with.     I’ve known Alex Mayer for over 12 years – before he became recognized as one of the best real estate agents in Rochester MN. Even in Alex’s last career he was a top producer and taught me a lot about that industry, which is where I am today. Alex went into real estate in 2016 and it’s been fun to watch his brand become the most recognizable in the city. Six years ago when I decided to buy my first home he was the one I reached out to. This time around it was to sell that home and relocate out of state. Alex is super knowledgeable about the market. He showed where the market was currently and where it was trending. In the fall of 2026 there are a lot of sellers – on my street we had five for sale signs. I was relocating for work to another state so we had to move. Alex showed us all the data, suggested a competitive pricing recommendation, and tied it in with his Active Marketing strategy. There were professional photos and video being advertised everywhere. The result was we received an above asking offer only a few days on the market. We did have a several issues with the buyer’s lender and the bank correcting erroneous date when assessing the condition of our home. Alex quickly had multiple contracts assess the issue and presented the proper measurements to the bank. It didn’t work, but we appreciated that he made the additional effort. It was a tough experience, but I know that if we didn’t have Alex Mayer as our real estate agent it would have been way worse. Even as everything was happening I remember saying “Could you imagine if Alex Mayer wasn’t our agent?” His communication is excellent. He took every opportunity to protect us and ease our minds during this time. Alex even personally scouted out a great agent where we were moving too. We closed on that purchase yesterday. I know that without Alex Mayer as our agent this would not have been possible. If you are buying or selling in Rochester MN you need to hire Alex Mayer as your realtor.

    Being in both the mortgage and real estate industry myself, I knew exactly what I was looking for when it came time to choose an agent. Because Rochester, MN is outside the area I personally serve, I wanted to work with someone who truly knew the local market. We interviewed a couple of agents, and Alex was by far the one who stood out. He was on top of his game from the very beginning. One of the biggest things for me was communication and responsiveness. I pride myself on getting back to my own clients promptly, so I have pretty high expectations when I’m on the other side of a transaction. Alex was excellent. He communicated clearly, explained everything upfront in plain language, and if he told us he would get back to us within a certain timeframe, he did. He understood that marketing an acreage property is different from selling a typical home and knew how to position and market the property to the right buyers. His knowledge, preparation and connections with other industry professionals were evident throughout the process. Beyond the professional side, Alex is just very personable and easy to work with. He is patient, easygoing and never makes you feel rushed or pressured. And meeting Atlas and Kaia was an added bonus!
